I really don't understand the trumpeting of abortion as this great step for woman's rights, like there is something morally positive about getting an abortion. I'm not for a legal limiting of abortion. I just think people should see abortion as a necessary medical procedure in case something goes wrong and not an escape hatch to avoid the responsibility of raising a child.

Abortion is at best a painful difficulty that mothers must go through because of medical complications. At worst, it's the snuffing out of a life in the name of convenience. I see nothing progressive about abortion and I wish it wasn't joined to the hip of the Democratic party.
