Why not do a cartoon about the country going bankrupt (you know, $9 trillion debt to countries like Saudi Arabia and China, which comes out to $30,000 for every man, woman, and child). You can show all the candidates pretending that nothing is happening, and Ron Paul struggling to get the public's attention. Would be a good one.
