It gave me pride to see tens of thousands of mothers, many of whom clutching their children marching to Babi Yar Ravine, having been disarmed. I've had a family member
I've had a family member murdered in their own home. Yes, they had a gun. And no, it did not help them at all. The gun was never even pulled out the drawer.

Also I had a relative who was saved by guns. He was my Great uncle who lived in France at the time of the nazi occupation. He and other brave partisans like him helped the Allies win WW2. The bielski family was also saved by guns when they in turn saved countless lives from the ovens of Auschwitz. They deterred a lot of resources and men from the front lines. When D-day began infact, my unlce and others like him were essential in slowing down reinforcements. Its even been argued that had it not been for the resistance the allies would have been pushed clear back from the channel. Thank G-d there were some people who had a spine and didnt subscribe to that pacifism we must turn the other cheek and lay down and die mentality that the liberals want us to embrace.

Also funny, is that firearm VIOLENCE in the US is a disproportionately represented statistic, accounting for single digit percentages of homicide and accidental death, reports of firearm "Crime" are usually reports of minor administrative infractions of possession. Perhaps the problem with firearm crime in america, is that americans need to stop being jerks to each other, and our legal system needs to stop putting people in prison for administrative infractions. Then our numbers would match those other lovely safe countries. Banning guns will never EVER happen, productive people would focus on the root issue of "why the hell do americans all want to kill each other so much in the first damned place?" because even WITHOUT guns, over 90% of homicides would still occur, and the remaining single digit percentile would pick up a claw hammer or something and swing repeatedly.
