Can you tell me how many Mexicans are legally allowed to immigrant each year?
I didn't think so.
Actually, the quota is the exactly same for every country in the world, Mexico, Liechtenstein, whoever. We will accept just about 30,000 a year per country.
You see, the problem is not so much our policy towards illegal immigrants as it is our policy concerning the LEGAL ones.
It doesn't matter if they have 90 million people or just 20,000. It is irrelevant whether they are our next door neighbor or exist halfway around the world. We have the same quote for every country in the world.
How much sense does that make?
If you aren't willing to do anything to change such a ridiculous policy concerning LEGAL immigrants, than just shut the F*** up about any illegal ones!

That would be great - if they could do it! I have friends who have tried to get work visas for years. No problem if you are from India and have a big corp to pay the huge fees and then you take a tech job. But if you are Hispanic, and will do menial labor,it is almost impossible to get the paperwork through or come up with the money. The waiting list alone would make you old and grey before you could get here.
Don't be fooled. The moneyed interests want undocumented workers here. They are easy to prey upon, do the scut labor than few Americans want and can be sent home on the Govt's dime when they are done with them.
