My Buddy al bates who is a teacher for over 30 years, agress the No Child Left Behind is a big fat joke period. For the last couple of years Al classes have been bad to say the least. The kids don't want to learn, just want to listen to thier Ipod, talk on thier cell phone, and while he has try to help these kids the nutty district keeps bring in new rules and order him to pass these kids period. Most kids nowsdays can't even read, nor count in fact once at a 7-11 store a young kid couldn't count out 4 one dollar bills to pay for his food. In fact most of these kids put all of thier purchases on credit cards. Most kids don't know how to handle money or even know how to use it.

uuugghh. I really hope that never happens though!!! I went to a really bad public school once. It was awful. Now I go to a private school with a pretty good reputation and I love it. The only problem is that it's expensive.

Where is Bush teaching a class? They don't have that kind of funding since No Child Left Behind deverted all the money from the schools that need it. Like the ones where the most kids can't read.

All it did was make things worse.
I have been in education for over 20 years.
If they want to make things better they could provide more classrooms with less students in them so there would be time for helping each student who needs help.
