Have a very Keynesian Krismas, Mr.Dan. Peace on Earth to men of good will. Bring the troops home - even the pregnant ones.
We cannot spend our way to prosperity. The debt has to go. Savings have to be accumulated and invested in capital goods has to replace it before there will be a recovery. That is what the Chinese are doing. It is what we used to do. The Fed is at the bottom of this perverse economy. Get rid of it. The next decade is going to look like the last two Japanese decades. Unless policy changes we can look forward to years of economic stagnation.
How about posting a list of Multizillionaire CEOs and their addresses. Even tour buses like Hollywood. We should be able to get a closer look at how these honorable people live. Short of a mob marching on Versailles asking for bread, that is...
There IS a way we can get the ball rolling on the economy. Its by stopping the government from taking money out of everyone's pay checks and wasting it on useless programs. You should get to keep what's in your check. THat is how we got in this mess by taking from those who earn and giving to those who don't want to earn.
That is definitely one piece of this screwed up puzzle. A big piece.
I'd also say another piece is, taxing the businesses in this country to support these stupid programs as well.(Which is passed on to the consumer...) The consumer really is like the toilet in this country. Everything gets passed to him or her.
Sucks. But honestly, it's the only way that it can work. (that I know of)
Sounds good! Lets start with cutting the multi-billion defense budget! While we are at it, we REALLY don't need firefighters, police, or schools. People can do these services themselves! In fact, toilets hooked up to sewer systems and public roads are so 20th century, we can cut those services too.
There is nothing more refreshing than taking out your own feces by hand.
Welcome to a world with no taxes! Congratulations!
*bzzzt* I'm sorry, that's incorrect, but thanks for playing anyway. The consumer paying and the corporations taking has been proven as a flawed system, as the corporations have proven happy to take our money and send it overseas to other countries. Pumping more money into them only makes sense if they have any loyalty to the US... which they've proven they don't by sending our jobs away to benefit their bottom line and their executives' bonuses.

Although he isn't my favourite guy, it's kind of refreshing to see a Dogboy and Mr. Dan where Mr. Dan isn't reduced to a bloody sinew at the end.
