Great cartoon. Your audio still sucks. Or I guess it's "tough" audio that only a wuss's ears would complain about. Have you covered flawed military justice in regard to Bradley Manning yet?
Putting the terrorists on trial the American way will prove to the world that we are a nation of laws and justice; and that we are not afraid of Al-Qaeda or others of their ilk. By failing to live up to our own values it weakens the ability of the US to promote of human rights and democracy around the world. It also plays into the hands of our enemies. The Iraq War and Guantanamo bay, have been huge recruiting tools for Al Qaeda.
When we act out of courage and conviction in a manner that is consistent with our principals and values, The United States wins. When abandon our principles out of fear and narrow-mindedness, we lose.
This trash should just be summarily executed without another word being spoken. These thugs are not given the rights of a Constitutional republic because they are not citizens of one. Those seeking to bash America using these baby-killers as pawns would no sooner get their own throats cut by these very people whom they, in their elitist disposition, feel should be granted some kind of "rights" that are non-existant for these non-state entities.
But how can we be certain if they are guilty or not? Maybe if you were tortured YOU would confess easily. Maybe if we tortue John Boehner he would confess. Torture the GOP the CEOS who support them and live off of them and leech off of us. THEY WILL CONFESS.
Mebbe it's just that I visit every other chance I get, so I might have missed some, but this 'toon is light on "ha-ha, we're doomed" and more "Heh; This Administration's policies and back-tracks is getting pretty ridiculous."
Funny cartoon, as usual on the money. But this is a truly tragic and complicated issue. Although I am disappointed in Obama as a president with spine, I do think it's not quite fair to blame him completely for this disaster. The idea that we cannot try these terrorists under the same rule of law Americans choose for themselves is nonsense, of course. But Congress did pass the law that forbids trying these guys (who if they weren't hardened terrorists are certainly ones today)on American soil.
What I find totally stupid is the idea that we can try these guys in a military court and satisfy anyone. Certainly Civil Rights advocates will be outraged and many Liberals(like me) will be furious. Then, if we don't kill them or give them life long sentences the conservatives will be furious. And where do we keep them when we convict them? Seems no country vaguely friendly to us (and many unfriendly) wants them. And if we kill them and satisfy all the tough family survivors and those who supposedly take their causes to heart - what kind of reaction will that have throughout the world? A world which, even if not radical Islamist - does not generally embrace capital punishment. I thought the AG'speech was completely mindless and it would have been a lot more intelligent(but just as chicken)to just avoid the whole issue AGAIN. I wouldn't have been satisfied but then I would have just remained generally disgusted (as usual) and not horrified by the lack of intellect demonstrated by those chosen to lead us in this era run by morons and bandits.
This is all 100% the fault of the conservatives and Bush.
I was also thinking about Ann coulter the conservative B****h who represents the views of conservatives who attacked the widows simply because Bush and the GOP failed and they decided John Kerry might do a better job.
Conservatives failed miserably. 8 years of failure. They destroyed our economy, they got us into wars, they can't apprehend the terrorists.
Why bring evil terrorists to justice here at home when we can outsource a justice-like-thingamajig offshore to Cuba? Plus, those trials are expensive and stuff.
Why hold processes at all? If someone is caught stealing you don't need a court. An old fashion-lynching should do the job.
Either you believe in the rule of law and the presumption of innocence or you don't. If we start picking the people deserving a fair trial what stops the the government to pick out everyone that opposes them to simply be executed? Welcome to China my friend.
But while we are at it: I think all TeaParty-members are terrorists. Prove? Since they are charged with being terrorist I don't need prove. They can simply be locked away for live.

Good post, but until they've been charged, tried, and convicted, they're ALLEGED terrorists.
Churchill said "you can

Sadly the Obama-government continues this path. It isn't as easy anymore to only blame Bush for it. Democrats are guilty as well.
