So if I don't like the idea

So if I don't like the idea of government deciding which healthcare is best while raising my taxes up the stratosphere, that makes me communistaphobic, an irrational fear? I for one don't see anything positive in making me pay more taxes for healthcare for those who don't want to work.

dude your taxes aren't going

dude your taxes aren't going up and in fact Pres Obama gave you a tax cut. You republican teas are really dumb!

Mark,..i just could not lurk

Mark,..i just could not lurk any longer on this one..I'm sippin my green tea and lemon brew trying to fight off just a touch of this cold I have, I'm feeling a little better, but as I'm watching this, it's all hitting home like never before. Absolutely amazing how the Right is either so stupid or so brainwashed that they would choose Universal Insurance....and they even called it Universal Health care to boot, twice as stupid as I thought. It seems of late that any idiot who gets on fox or Lou Dobbs is praising and cheerleading the wealthy and Corporations is apparently stupid enough to actually think that Universal Insurance would ruin our American dream. Which is crazy and devistating (because CNN knows better..) After all the postal service they use to get the gotdamned bills to our homes is a SOCIALIZED service!! The only thing to come out of the Bush whitehouse concerning healthcare was pretty much a drug plan formulated by the drug companies to benefit the drug companies. Not one repubLIECON raised a peep, they were all fine with it. The government could do no wrong under fuher Bush. However the good part of this is that judging by the Republican party we will likely not see them anytime soon running policy or anything else. The Wing Nuts are now in charge of the Republican party and last I checked 26% does not win elections. They FEAR the inevitable if not that which has pretty much already happened, that the peasants would get out of control and over throw them if we're all educated and healthy..

what a difference a cup of tea can make!

your #1 soul sista in the race to find a cure for Baracknophobia,

Zounds! Some premium toons

Zounds! Some premium toons during my absence.

A shot at Twitter, Goldman Sachs, and the insurance lobby--in less than a month. I seem to recall that all three were consigned to the third circle of Hell in Dante's 'Inferno'.

Where'd you take your vacation, Mr. Fiore? In that awe-inspiring, ever-expanding chasm of unprecedented size and majesy: 'the gap between rich and poor'?

Ha! Just you try to cross it, you honest, taxpaying citizen.

On the brighter side of things, the foreign banks don't seem to be panicking about the 23.7 trillion dollar Barofsky audit of the Federal Reserve. More proof that the US debt could rise to 'a million bajillion dollars' and the BRIC nations would still hang on to bleed ol' Uncle Sam dry.

Fear not. Although California is struggling to make history with the speed of its meltdown, you're still better off than in New Jersey... where they're hauling half the state politicians in for organ trafficking. There's a green shoot right there. ;)

Stay sane, Mr. Fiore. Keep making these wonderful toons. Props to Mr. Taylor, as well.

P.S. You seem to have picked up a respectable following on YouTube.

Thanks, COTO, glad to have

Thanks, COTO, glad to have you back.

Your presence on the site was missed! (I was in Taos, NM for a month of work-acation, or whatever you call it, then on Vancouver Island for a week of real vacation.) Now back, and of course wishing I was a local cartoonist in New Jersey. Jeez, bribes, rabbis and kidneys, it doesn't get any better than that for a political cartoonist!

Excellent work! This sort

Excellent work! This sort of satire is the reason why I visit this site once a week.

You communist! Next you'll

You communist! Next you'll want tax payers to pay for roads, schools, police, safety regulations, and a standing army. Before you know it, we'll be paying somewhat more in taxes and have to suffer with standards of education, life expectancy, happiness, and heathiness that might begin to compare with countries in Western Europe. Damn socialists!

dang. long as 'ey dont take

Mark, a website bug: you might want to take a look at the web page in Firefox 3.5, just loading your home page and playing the video.

The "Comments" link is almost invisible.

(By the way, I'd love to see another Newly Frugal Guy spot, talking about how he got his training in Sacramento...)

I have that problem as well

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll look into it. (Actually, I'll have someone smarter with those kinds of things look into it.)
