Well, really it's always this way. Here in what used to be Czechoslovakia a lot of former STB agents (Communist secret police) and their informers were hunted down after Socialism collapsed and at first people wanted revenge. It caused a lot of problems and a lot of people were hurt simply by having a job even if they weren't involved. Also the big guys who ordered the torturing, censorship, and repression of political acts and killing of those crossing the frontier and even torture...none of them were really punished. Most of them, including Vasil Bilak are sitting up in a nice big home up in the exclusive castle area...suddenly discovering their capitalistic roots!

In Europe we know this....it's always the same. The people at the top screw things up and it's ALWAYS the ordinary people who pay for it. I kinda agree with Obama on this one. As much as we want revenge, best to move on and not let it fester. As someone said it's a waste of time, money, and our emotional energy if it doesn't bring down some truly "BIG FISH".

As long as we allow the Globalists/International Banks control Washington, the president, no matter how good they may be, is pretty much powerless to bring these criminals to justice. The president is essentially a puppet, and really does not have much choice in the matter. Unless he defects from the Globalists of course...but that is unlikely...

Still, in the end, the Globalists will lose. These criminals will be brought to justice, one way or another...

Forget the past? No, it's more like recover from it. However, in recovering from the past President Obama has got to stop being an apologist to the rest of the world and a maker of empty promises. How many more "Scooters" will go to prison to cover up for Bush? Why bother? You all know damned good and well that Bush and his top tier of advisers will never see a day of jail or even be indicted for their crimes, only their underlings will suffer. For me, that isn't enough to make investigations worth our tax dollars.

Why will Bush and his favorite cronies not be punished? Because President Obama knows that pointing fingers can come back to haunt him.

Sorry, I have to disagree. It is time for some retribution. A LOT of it! These sick bastards destroyed our country's reputation and violated everything we stand for as a nation, and never even managed to tell the people the truth about it, which to me says that they KNEW it was wrong. And now, for the sake of political expediency, Obama is going to just sweep this under the rug and walk on whistling?

It is past time that we set a precedent for punishing presidents for their crimes. Isn't one of the founding principles of this country the idea that the president is an ordinary citizen? I think it's time we started acting like that's the case.

This "forget the past" thing is truly a mind ****. I have a headache, please excuse me while I lay down.

In even a mildly functional republic most of these ###holes would be in jail at least.
