Get off your buts and read the house bill. Also read how socialized health care is destroying Canada, Britain, and France. Yeah right! Government will put layers of bureaucrats between you and your doctor? Who do you think is busy denying legitimate claims, dropping those with preexisting conditions, and dictating to doctors what can and can't be done for their patients? Why it's private insurance bureaucrats! In fact, some of them admitted to getting bonuses for denying more claims!
You're doing the bidding of those in the health care industrial complex, who couldn't care less if you suffered, died, and went bankrupt doing it!
Ever wonder why our infant mortality rate is worse than developed countries that have public, or at least a mixture of public and private plans? Daaaaah!

Where have you been during the last 60 years? There is nothing that the government does that does not cost many time more than they say, wastes money, and has layers and layers of bureaucrats, is inefficient, and eventually takes one of our freedoms away.
Think of it this way. You have virtually an infinite demand for health care, but a limited supply of providers (doctors, hospitals, machines, ect.) How do you control the cost, because you do not have infinite money? There are only two choices 1. raise prices to cut demand, or 2. Rationing. Obamacare has eliminated cost controls, so all that is left is rationing. Next question, who do you ration health care to? young people in their 20's or senior citizens over 65? People with long term or incurable illness or someone who can be cured quickly and cheaply?

• Page 29: Admission: your health care will be rationed!
• Page 30: A government committee will decide what treatments and benefits you get (and, unlike an insurer, there will be no appeals process)
• Page 42: The "Health Choices Commissioner" will decide health benefits for you. You will have no choice. None.
• Page 50: All non-US citizens, illegal or not, will be provided with free healthcare services.
• Page 58: Every person will be issued a National ID Health card.
• Page 59: The federal government will have direct, real-time access to all individual bank accounts for electronic funds transfer.
• Page 65: Taxpayers will subsidize all union retiree and community organizer health plans (read: SEIU, UAW and ACORN)
• Page 72: All private healthcare plans must conform to government rules to participate in a Healthcare Exchange.

The claims are, respectively: accurate (145), inaccurate (203), inconclusive (241), highly inaccurate (430), accurate (95), and inconclusive (42).

So a bit of a grab bag.

I'll admit this list reaches more than a little, but pro-health-reformers should remember:

Governments love to bury Trojan horses in these bills. Page 95 ('indoctrination patrol' for ACORN) and page 425 ('end of life' consulting) are fair examples.
The US government is painfully broke. The treasury bubble might hold on for a year or two longer, but the wheels are already in motion. There isn't a hope in heck that public healthcare can remain funded without raising taxes to almost confiscatory levels. Granted, you'll no longer have to pay for health insurance.
"Promoting competition" is the last thing this bill is designed to do. (Yes, fine, I agree that there wasn't exactly cutthroat competition between the insurance giants either.)

Since I rather like our system here in Canada, I find myself still securely within the 'I (heart) public healthcare' camp.

But let's not kid ourselves. In the U.S., this is a 1.2 trillion dollar debate on how to best arrange the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Hey man, you need to lay off the Rage-Ex. You are obviously suffering from primary cognitive impairment. PAGE 425: 1) "Advance Care Planning" - that's a choice of the senior. They pick the provider and make their own choices. Are you deliberately lying or is that you simply can't read? 2) "Mandatory" consults paid for for durable power of attorney, etc. They're not "mandatory," they're reimbursed based on the choice of the client. 3) "assisted suicide, euthanasia?" - Liar. That's not in there. You do lie on purpose. PAGE 489: Covered couples counseling - "government interferes in your marriage." Now you're really over the top. The therapist won't likely be a government employee. It's a choice to utilize a covered service as is, PAGE 494, mental health services. You, sir or madam, are a deliberate disinformation agent. There's nobody dumb enough here, or most places, to believe your astroturfing lies.

From what I see only a small minority need any assistance in embracing their fear and rage. If fact according to the cons we are a center right country.......or so they say. Just like no one wants a public option, and that is true if you discount the 57-77% who do.
