When he lost the Democratic primary in Connecticut J. Lieberman ran as an Independent and won. I think he received votes from republicans who knew their guy would certainly lose and figured Joe was the next best thing. Would HillandBill do the same?

I don't think there is any

I don't think there is any viable way for Hillary to do so, since she has already backed Obama and showed support for the Democratic party. There a number of other people already considering running as independent, so the public probably wouldn't even pay much attention, except for die-hard supporters.
