Jihadi Rifle Association

Category Cartoons

(If you don't want to spoil the cartoon, read this after you watch the video.)  With the recent shooting in Las Vegas, it's becoming more apparent that the crazed anti-government conspiracy nuts are a danger, to say the least.  What is the largest, most well-funded group fanning these flames of insanity?  You guessed it, the NRA!  I've dealt more specifically with Wayne LaPierre's recent apocalyptic diatribe in another cartoon.  Since that cartoon was published, there has been an attack on a courthouse in Georgia and a "revolution" started by killing two police officers who were on their lunch break.  (After said revolutionaries made sure that their cats would be cared for.)
I thought it might be a fun exercise to imagine all of those heavily armed open-carry advocates and Wayne LaPierre himself were Muslims.  What do you think our politicians and NRA-supporters would be saying then?  Can you imagine a dozen or so fully-armed Muslim men carrying AR-15s into a Chili's?  Or what the news coverage would be if it was someone of Pakistani descent who attacked the Georgia courthouse or killed the cops in Vegas?

I don't take comparing someone to a violent Islamic extremist lightly, but after the umpteenth mass shooting and a couple of attacks on our justice system, I just had to do it.  All you have to do is listen to some of LaPierre's speeches, then listen to the ravings of a few of these shooters and you'll see it's not a very far leap.  And just like the cartoon says, the NRA isn't a jihadi organization, they just kinda act like one.  You can find more links to articles behind this cartoon on my website, as usual.

Your comparison is most accurate as it is entertaining.
Still, the NRA is a crazy sect of heavily armed white supremacist religious-fanatic and psychopathic domestic terrorists.

And the second amendment certainly include the right of the common people, - of race, gender, sex, ethnicity, belief or not believing - to have the legal rights to legally stand their ground against such vicious white supremacists and domestic terrorists, I will assume?

Mark Fiore's comparison is most accurate as it is very artsy and entertaining.

And the second amendment certainly include the right of the common people, - independent of race, gender, sex, ethnicity, belief or not believing - to have the legal rights to legally stand their ground against such vicious white supremacists and domestic terrorists, I will assume? If anyone and a whole lot of people who kills a white supremacists gets away scott-free as Zimmerman did, I'd buy the NRA's "good guy" hypothesis, until then I reserve nothing but my ironic doubt to such gun-hugging insanity as which has befallen the US.
